Campfire at Lake Roland – Friday 12/6 – 6-7:30 PM

  • Pack

Folks,
In just a few days, we’ll roast marshmallows, drink hot chocolate, and sing songs that may make the Webelos eyes roll…

A few notes:

1) Bring camp chairs if you have them
2) Definitely bring a flashlight
3) Please dress to be outside the entire time (hats and gloves a must!)
4) Bring a stick for s’mores (but I will bring a set of sticks from the church just in case)

Please see the attached map. Our campfire will be at the campfire circle that is next to #3, the Acorn Hill playground. Frankly, given the location of parking, there’s no close location. You can a) park in the Light Rail lot and brave the dark boardwalk with your Scout or b) some of who arrive early should be able to park on the road that is right across from the bridge, on the right (not marked on the map) or C) park in the main Lakeside Drive parking lot where we parked last year for our picnic. The ranger may close the main gate, and re-open it exactly at 6 PM. I’m not sure yet…

We’ll have materials for s’mores available, and multiple gallons of hot chocolate with marshmallows.

YIS,

-Dave

P.S. – this is a uniformed event for Scouts and leaders.
