REMINDER: Register for Virtual Glider Derby

  • Pack

Dear Cub Scout Families,

We’re excited to kick off our new year with our first-ever Homewood Scouting Virtual Glider Derby. This is a chance for our scouts to build, decorate, and fly their own wooden glider at home. Then at 4 PM on Sunday September 27 we will gather for our first pack meeting of the year where scouts can show off their gliders and report back on their piloting exploits.  (Zoom link HERE)

For more details about the Glider Derby and to register for the event, please visit our pack website at: https://www.homewoodscouting.org/2020-glider-derby/. If you want to participate, please register and pay ($4.12) as soon as possible so that we can get you your kit in plenty of time to build and fly it.

Additionally, don’t forget that scouts are required to be in full uniform (scout shirt, hat, neckerchief, slide, and belt with dark jeans/pants) for meetings. For those scouts moving up a rank this year (i.e. Wolves to Bears) you will need to purchase a new neckerchief, slide, and hat. You have the option of paying the $33.00 through our website (https://www.homewoodscouting.org/payments) and we will pick it up and deliver it to you. This will save you a trip to the Scout Shop and a couple of dollars in tax.

Best,

Assistant Cubmaster Justin
